Top reasons to study BSc in EEE:
Electrical & Electronic Engineering deals with the study and real-world application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Practiced since the 1800s, it’s the forefront of new technologies in a number of industries including transport, healthcare, construction and robotics.
If you enjoy mathematics and science, are fascinated by energy and electronic gadgets, and want to design and invent things that benefit others, you may wish to study an Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree.
Reasons to study EEE:
You’ll develop the skills highly sought after in a world where graduate job markets are unpredictable and tough. What with the rapid expansion of the technology sector, the demand for those who can create, understand and alter electrical control systems has risen accordingly.
Computing, for one, is constantly evolving and therefore innovative new thinkers are required to configure new ideas and pave the way in electronics. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a corner of the globe where electrical engineers are not needed, and salaries can be pretty good for the subject area.
Electrical engineering jobs represent over 25% of all available jobs in engineering! A good number of government jobs are from Electrical Engineering sector like power generation, distribution, transmission, manufacturing, utilization, etc.
A EEE student can enter in to the job market of Computer engineering, Electronics & communication engineering, Instrumentation engineering, control engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, VHDL, VLSI. But any branch of other engineering student cannot enter in to the Electrical Engineering job market.
Other than conventional Electrical Engineering jobs, Electrical engineers are well positioned to address a variety of the crucial engineering issues facing societies today. They cover a wide variety of applications like information, health, signal processing, telecommunications, wireless communications and networking, Sensors, Microwave, and Image Processing, Micro-Electronics, Energy Systems and Power Electronics, Nano-Electronics and Nano-Optics, Plasma Processing, Laser and Photonics, MEMS, CAD, and Microsystems, Biomedical Engineering and much more.
Reduce our carbon footprint by developing renewable energy solutions, roll out smart energy grids, and design hybrid and all-electric vehicles. Through the study of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, you could make a difference to society.
Another reason why you should pursue this field of study is that you probably will not get sick of it. You will always get introduced to new tech every now and then as a better version of all the electrical gadgets you find today are being developed. Not only will you witness it, you will get the chance to work on new tech during testing and assembly.
Practical skills for everyday life: Like we said, studying engineering breeds a specialised skill set, and this is something that can be beneficial beyond a career. Being capable at physics and maths is useful, and studying a degree in electrical engineering imparts practical skills that can aid you in a number of everyday situations, such as tax returns and household jobs. More directly, skills in electronics are useful for rewiring circuits around a home and, if computing is your area of expertise, you will likely be apt at repairing many digital appliances too.

This policy will be effective from Spring Semester 2019 for the new students who are entitled for tuition waiver based on their previous academic results.
Scholarship and tuition fee waiver in first two semesters will be given on the basis of the student’s previous academic results. For third and consecutive semesters, if a student has been awarded scholarship and tuition fee waiver, s/he must demonstrate satisfactory academic progress in his/ her academic results at GUB in order to maintain his/ her scholarship and tuition fee waiver. Otherwise, the tuition fee will be calculated according to that semester’s GUB tuition fee policy.
All types of waiver based on previous academic results will continue for first two semesters. For third and consecutive semesters, waiver will depend on results of the 2nd and subsequent semesters. After first two semesters, if any student fails to maintain his/her required GPA; s/he will get the following opportunities for subsequent semesters:
If a student fails to maintain the minimum semester GPA required for a particular level of waiver, s/he will be entitled for a lower level of waiver entitled to a student equivalent to his achieved GPA. Examples as below:
If a student has got 100% waiver for which minimum semester GPA requirement is 3.50, but fails to maintain this GPA and gets GPA 3.00, s/he may be allowed to enjoy 40% waiver for that semester.
If a student has got more than 10% waiver for which minimum GPA requirement is 2.50 or above, but fails to maintain this GPA and gets GPA below 2.50 to 2.00, s/he may be allowed to enjoy 10% of his merit waiver for that particular semester.
